The Hot Rod class was part of the Door Warz weekend at Mission Raceway. There were 22 Hot Rod racers on Saturday.

In round 1, Bill Clifford took out Glen Norman with a .108 light and a 9.33 run on a 9.12 dial in. Randy Hermsen took out Grant Toutant with a .088 light and a 13.62 run on a 13.53 dial in. Russell Jeffery red lit giving the win to Dave Leib. Silvia Hoogstins took out Guy Johnston with a .142 light and a 13.12 run on a 13.22 dial in. Guy also ran too fast with a .092 light and a 8.29 run on a 8.53 dial in. Larry Rhodenizer took out Bill Halicki with a .079 light and a 9.76 run on a 9.52 dial in. Barry Patterson took out John Van Capelle with a .159 light and a 10.33 run on a 10.07 dial in. Dave Wren took out George Criddle with a .012 light and a 11.61 run on a 11.61 dial in. Roger Winter took out Wayne Darby with a .245 light and a 8.99 run on a 8.85 dial in. Jerry Byfield red lit giving the win to Lorne Dufour. Kevin McNabb took out Mark Boutilier with a .075 light and a 9.07 run on a 9.02 dial in. Ed Loewen broke giving Terry Charles a single run into round 2.

In round 2, Dave Wren got the bye run into round 3. Dave Leib red lit giving the win to Randy Hermsen. Bill Clifford took out Roger Winter with a .051 light and a 9.15 run on a 9.08 dial in. Silva Hoogstins took out Lorne Dufour with a .029 light and a 13.13 run on a 13.13 dial in. Larry Rhodenzier took out Terry Charles with a .086 light and a 9.76 run on a 9.54 dial in. Kevin McNabb took out Barry Patterson with a .137 light and a 9.00 run on a 8.99 dial in.

In round 3, Randy Hermsen took out Dave Wren with a .055 light and a 13.51 run on a 13.51 dial in. Silvia Hoogstins took out Larry Rhodenizer with a .037 light and a 13.12 run on a 13.10 dial in. Kevin McNabb red lit giving the win to Bill Clifford.

As the day had run long and the Door Warz cars still had to make their runs, Mission Raceway decided to end racing for the bracket classes. Each class finished at the quarterfinals.

At 10:15 pm there was a fireworks display in honour of Canada Day and the 4th of July and a band played well into the night.

On Sunday there were 19 racers.

In round 1, Dave Leib red lit giving the win to Randy Hermsen. Guy Johnston took out Roger Winter with a .044 light and a 8.32 run on a 8.27 dial in. Bill Clifford took out Silvia Hoogstins with a .140 light and a 9.22 run on a 9.05 dial in. Lorne Dufour took out Mark Boutilier with a .104 light and a 8.70 run on a 8.50 dial in. Jerry Byfield took out Dave Wren with a .104 light and a 11.34 run on a 11.35 dial in. Dave also ran too fast with a .197 light and a 11.46 run on a 11.56 dial in. Bill Halicki took out George Criddle with a .061 light and a 11.03 run on a 10.97 dial in. Russel Jeffery red lit giving the win to Wayne Darby. Kevin McNabb took out Terry Charles with a .017 light and a 9.03 run on a 8.97 dial in. Barry Patterson took out Terry Hoogstins with a .008 light and a 9.96 run on a 9.97 dial in. Terry also ran took fast with a .095 light and a 10.78 run on a 10.88 dial in. Larry Rhodenzier got the bye into round 2.

In round 2, Barry Patterson broke giving the single to Lorne Dufour. Randy Hermsen took out Wayne Darby with a .048 light and a 13.53 run on a 13.44 dial in. Larry Rhodenizer took out Bill Halicki with a .055 light and a 9.54 run on a 9.53 dial in. Jerry Byfield took out Kevin McNabb with a .075 light and a 11.35 run on a 11.32 dial in. Bill Clifford red lit giving the win to Guy Johnston.

In round 3, Randy Hermsen got the bye into round 4. Larry Rhodenizer took out Jerry Byfield with a .124 light and a 9.52 run on a 9.51 dial in. Lorne Dufour red lit giving the win to Guy Johnston.

In round 4, Randy Hermsen took out Guy Johnston with a .071 light and a 13.44 run on a 13.44 dial in. Larry Rhodenizer got the single into the finals.

In the final, both Larry Rhodenizer and Randy Hermsen ran too fast with the win going to Larry who had a .074 light and a 9.50 run on a 9.51 dial in. Randy had a .028 light and ran a 13.38 on a 13.42 dial in. Congratulations Larry!!
